The Tale of Four Gamers: Like A Bull in a Jungle Shop (Part 1)

An ogre Firebelly steps out from the jungle to witness a sight of which he has never seen before, a temple of gold of massive proportions.  It looked a little over run, the slender vines of the wild jungle coveted the steps, as if it held secrets and was desperately trying to keep them masked.
Merely a couple of feet away, the preying eyes of the jungle fixated on the intruder. A skink patrol had followed these brutish humanoids for 7 days now, hoping that they wouldn't cause any further harm but that sadly hadn't been the case, these ogres have the intent to plunder, an action that could not be allowed to happen.  The skink patrol sulked back into the foliage and made haste towards the closest Saurus outpost.  They knew of one Saurus Old Blood, Ax-Hotl, a Saurus who faught first, asked questions later.
Meanwhile, the skink's actions did not go without notice, the Firebelly sensed something amiss, like the jungle was alive, and was moving to intercept him.  Only a fool would try to sack this temple without help, and so, the Firebelly, Gurtrek the Scorcher, returned to the rest of his warband, Boletus, with a toothy smile and gold on his mind.

So this is the start of MEGC's A Tale of Four gamers, but as always, things at MEGC are never simple!  Instead of The Tale of Four Gamers, it's now turned into A Tale of Numerous Gamers!  Many of our community has decided to either dig out old models, or start brand new armies for our Warhammer Fantasy game.
In today's blog, we look at the first two armies that have been finished and a small battle between Lano with his Lizardmen, and Gautam with Ogre Kingdoms.

Afterword from Gautam:

The reason I chose to field the ogre kingdoms army was purely based on an interest in the history and myths surrounding their existence, varying in traits from nomadic travellers to brutish warriors.
Warband Boletus, named after the hallucinogenic fungi that has become a mainstay amongst the tribes diet, traverse the mountains of mourn in search of the more potent patches of fungal growth to gorge on. This addiction is fuelled by the belief that if the great maw is to be understood, it can only be done so through the excessive consumption of the purple Boletus mushroom. For this reason, ogres from this tribe adorn purple clothing. The nature of this pilgrimage will see Warband Boletus march on lands unfamiliar to that from which they dwell, and march over those who seek to put an end to the voice of the great maw.
